Customer Success Specialist Germany

  • On-site, Hybrid
    • Breda, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands
  • €3,100 - €3,900 per month
  • Customer Success

Do you focus on customer needs and see opportunities for optimization everywhere? As our Customer Success Specialist, you advise and help our customers get the absolute most out of our software.

Job description

Will you be our new colleague?
At MICE Operations we are growing rapidly on an international scale. To give our new customers in the German market a flying start, we are looking for a proactive Customer Success Specialist who speaks fluent German and English. Are you the solution-oriented bridge between our software and the customer? Someone who not only implements our system flawlessly, but also advises customers on how to maximize its value? And do you want to help build our international success from Breda? Then we're looking for you!

What will you be doing?

As our Customer Success Specialist, you guide new (international) customers through their onboarding and ensure they immediately gain value from our software. Your role starts with a focus on implementation and support, but will increasingly shift toward an advisory role focused on optimization in the coming years. You will also actively contribute to our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, helping to drive the company’s growth in Germany. This means you will occasionally support other departments on a project basis, such as marketing, partnerships and sales.

Your tasks:

  • Onboarding & support: You smoothly guide customers through the implementation phase, provide online training and help new users get up to speed quickly. Additionally, you can offer direct support to our internal support team whenever specific questions arise from German customers.

  • Relationship management & advice: You are a serious sparring partner at the management level. You understand the customer's needs and proactively advise them on their system setup.

  • Commercial opportunities: You have a commercial mindset and easily identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to serve the customer even better.

  • Customer Health: You monitor customer usage, intervene timely when a customer gets stuck, and thereby proactively prevent cancellations (churn).

About MICE Operations
MICE Operations develops user-friendly planning and sales software for the event and hospitality industry. Our clients are leading event venues in the Netherlands and across Europe. We believe that people in the event industry aren’t meant for repetitive tasks, but for human connection. That is why we build user-friendly software that automates everything except personal attention.

Our team works from a modern and inspiring office in the heart of Breda, where developers, marketers, sales and event specialists collaborate toward a common goal: making MICE better every day. We do this with passion, ambition and a healthy dose of humor (if we do say so ourselves).

We are a fast-growing SaaS company with international ambitions, and we are always on the lookout for motivated new colleagues. Besides various career opportunities, there is plenty of room to bring in and execute your own initiatives. We offer a work environment where your input is truly valued - whether you’ve been with us for a week, a month or a year.

What we offer you:

  • a gross monthly salary between € 3,100 and € 3,900 (based on full-time employment), depending on your knowledge and experience;

  • a full-time job of 40 hours per week (32 hours is negotiable);

  • a one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;

  • flexible working days and hours;

  • 25 vacation days per year to fully recharge (based on full-time employment);

  • a fully funded pension plan; we pay the entire premium, so you don’t have to contribute anything yourself;

  • excellent tools to get the job done, including a company laptop, phone, and some cool MICE merch;

  • an excellent travel allowance, covering your daily commute to the office;

  • a flexible workplace in our spacious office in the heart of Breda (easily accessible by public transport and car);

  • we love seeing you at the office, but partially working from home is certainly an option. Furthermore, we offer the opportunity - in consultation - to work remotely from Germany for shorter periods;

  • plenty of room for development and growth, including a personal training budget;

  • an informal atmosphere with team outings, daily lunch and a weekly Friday afternoon drink in our very own bar;

  • a workplace where we highly value a good work-life balance.

Job requirements

We are looking for you if:

  • you have a Bacheler’s degree or an equivalent working and thinking level;

  • you have an excellent command of German and English, both spoken and written. Additionally, you have sufficient basic knowledge of Dutch to communicate within the team;

  • you have experience with, or a strong affinity for, the German business culture;

  • you have experience in an advisory role where you are a great listener and know how to ask the right probing questions;

  • you are sociable, patient, and perform well under pressure. Moreover, you quickly learn new technical skills;

  • you can work independently and proactively, and you take full ownership of your own customers;

  • you have a commercial mindset, effortlessly spotting opportunities to increase customer value;

  • you have an affinity for software and automation;

  • an affinity for the hospitality and event industry, or a background in consultancy or customer service, is a big plus.
